Supply and installation of shoreline protection measures at the Nelson Street Water Treatment plant. Documents are available at https://norfolk.bidsandtenders.ca/ The project involves improvement of shore protection in front of the Norfolk County Nelson Street Water Treatment Plant. The project includes removal and reconstruction of an existing concrete block headland structure and protection of an existing sheet piled wall of unknown depth. The project tasks include clearing of existing shrubbery and rocks, placement of gabion stone and riprap, and construction of a precast block retaining wall . The objective of the project is to provide an increased level of protection from waves at high water levels. Question Deadline 10/08/2026 at 4:00 PM ET The scope of this work consists of completion of the following tasks in accordance with the drawings and specifications: 1. Supplying all pertinent permits, plant, labor, equipment and materials. 2. Furnishing all temporary facilities, environmental protection, and erosion and sediment control measures. 3. Clearing, grubbing. excavation and backfilling as needed to complete the works. 4. Demolition of the existing groyne and disposal of construction rubble. 5. Construction of a new groyne structure. 6. Stabilization of the existing sheet pile wall and construction of a wave protection wall.
