Evaluation of Existing Foundation Scope includes: Excavate a 4- foot area around the existing pole base down to field grade. Remove existing debris and spray foam to fully expose anchor bolts. o o Inspect anchor bolt conditions down to the original concrete pour. o Evaluate options for anchor bolt re-use or repair. o Assess the condition of the pole base and bottom plate welds to determine suitability for re-use. 2. Foundation and Pole Replacement Scope includes: Review structural requirements with a Massachusetts Structural Engineer. Determine required foundation diameter and depth based on structural review. Auger a replacement drilled shaft to the specified depth. New foundation to be installed within 6 feet of the existing location. Backfill drilled shaft with concrete and install new anchor bolts. Re-route and reconnect existing wiring to the new foundation. Make-safe and abandon the existing foundation in place: Cut existing anchor bolts flush and cover area with loam.
