The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision , transportation, permits, disposal, and incidentals necessary to remove the existing Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system and install a new 60-mil mechanically fastened Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing system. The work shall include demolition of the existing roofing system, inspection and replacement of deteriorated roof sheathing as required , installation of DensDeck roof boards (or equal), installation of all associated flashings, edge metal , sealants, and accessories, and all work necessary to provide a complete, watertight roofing assembly. All work shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, applicable California Building Code requirements, Cal/OSHA regulations , and all applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, permits, disposal , and incidentals necessary to demolish the existing Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system and install a new 60-mil mechanically fastened Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing system in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, the California Building Code, and all applicable federal , state, and local regulations. Tasks: Demolition Protect all patios, decks, landscaping, equipment, and other sensitive areas from damage during construction. Remove approximately 3,500 square feet (+/-) of existing BUR roofing down to the existing wood roof deck. The Contractor shall verify all quantities in the field prior to commencing work. Remove and legally dispose of all demolished roofing materials and debris. Inspect the exposed wood roof decking for structural integrity. Replace deteriorated or damaged wood sheathing with matching materials as necessary. The Contractor shall provide a unit price per sheet for replacement sheathing, inclusive of labor and materials. Roofing System Installation The Contractor shall furnish and install DensDeck roof boards, or equal, in strict accordance with the manufacturer's published specifications and installation requirements. Roof boards shall be installed to provide a stable, durable substrate for the roofing system and shall be compatible with all roofing system components. Note: Bidder to indicate the roofing board being offered in the right-hand column. Install a 60-mil mechanically fastened single-ply TPO roofing system, including all required flashings, edge metal, pipe boots, sealants, fasteners, terminations, and accessories necessary to provide a complete watertight roofing assembly. Maintain positive roof drainage and ensure all existing roof drains, scuppers, and roof penetrations remain fully functional upon completion. Coordinate the manufacturer's final inspection and correct any deficiencies required to obtain the manufacturer's warranty.
