The project consists of Replacement of approximately 770 linear feet of existing 4-inch waterline with 8-inch HDPE waterline, including approximately 570 linear feet of waterline installed by trenchless methods beneath the existing lake. The project includes all necessary waterline appurtenances, including encasement, and restoration of affected asphalt roadway and gravel drive areas. Bidders will be allowed to modify or withdraw bids prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. No bid received after the scheduled closing time will be accepted or opened. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 90 calendar days. The successful Bidder, or Bidders, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the contract written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and satisfactory to the Owner. 1 The award will be made on the basis of the lowest responsible bid. The District reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. Bidders may elect to bid Base Bid Schedule individually, Base Bid Schedule 2 individually, or both Base Bids. The District may award more than one contract based upon bids received and available construction funds. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin.
