Concrete and asphalt site work for the Borough of Fair Lawn. Question Deadline 10/09/2026 at 9:00 AM ET QUESTIONS REGARDING BID SPECIFICATIONS: All questions related to these bid specifications and requirements should be directed, in writing, to A. The intent of these specifications is to obtain unit prices bids for all labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment to be used for the installation, replacement, repair and reconstruction of asphalt, concrete, block, masonry structures, and bituminous pavement throughout the Borough, as and when requested. The Borough reserves the right to award up to three (3) contracts (primary, secondary and tertiary) based on the bid prices, in order that the Borough has continuous coverage for the work. The secondary and tertiary Contractors may be called upon in that order to perform work for which the primary Contractor is not available or fails to timely respond to a request. Work may include, but is not limited to, the construction and, where required, grading of land, as well as the replacement, resurfacing, and repair of sidewalks, driveway aprons, asphalt pavement, concrete curbing, concrete pads, concrete flooring, stone, pavers, ADA-compliant curb ramps, masonry retaining walls, building repairs, and other related improvements as directed by the Superintendent of Public Works or their designee. Contractor must respond to the Borough's request for a quotation and provide a written quotation within three (3) business days. Upon issuance of a purchase order, the Contractor shall mobilize the necessary labor, materials and equipment and commence work within seven (7) business days unless otherwise authorized by the Superintendent of Public Works or their designee. The Borough reserves the right to call on the secondary or tertiary Contractor, in that order, to obtain the requested work if the primary Contractor fails to comply with these response or mobilization requirements. Alternatively, a repeated failure to comply with these response or mobilization requirements may result in termination of the contract. It is the Borough's intention that each work assignment ("Call Out") shall generally consist of a minimum replacement of fifty (50) square yards of sidewalk replacement and/or one hundred (100) linear feet of concrete curb. Work locations shall be various sites throughout the Borough. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
