Renovation of a fire / police facility in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The intent of this project is to improve the heating and cooling systems serving Greeneville Fire Station 2 and provide a reliable, energy-efficient, and appropriately sized HVAC solution for the facility. The City is open to multiple HVAC solutions. Proposed systems may include replacement or modification of the existing HVAC system, ductless or ducted mini-split heat pump systems, multi-zone systems, conventional HVAC equipment, or a combination of systems. Contractors are encouraged to evaluate the existing facility and recommend a solution that provides the best combination of reliability, energy efficiency, maintainability, occupant comfort, and overall value to the City. The City of Norwich reserves the right to reject and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive minor irregularities in the bidding and to award the bid to other than the low bidder if deemed in the best interest of the City. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days of the bid opening date. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified time, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the designated, qualified low bidder.
