Renovation of a fire / police facility in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The intent of this project is to identify and remediate areas of mold and/or microbial growth within Greeneville Fire Station 2 and return affected areas to a clean and serviceable condition. Contractors shall inspect existing conditions, identify the extent of visible or suspected mold-affected materials, identify apparent moisture conditions contributing to the problem, and recommend an appropriate remediation approach. The City's objective is to address the underlying conditions contributing to mold growth where identifiable and to properly remove or remediate affected materials rather than simply conceal, paint over, or cosmetically treat affected areas. The City of Norwich reserves the right to reject and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive minor irregularities in the bidding and to award the bid to other than the low bidder if deemed in the best interest of the City. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days of the bid opening date. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified time, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the designated, qualified low bidder.
