Site work and paving for a civil project in Rio Grande City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project will consist of the reconstruction of sections along Retama Street, alternatively Carr Street, alternatively Rio and alternatively Grande Street, alternatively Guadalupe Circle, alternatively Cypress Street, and alternatively Mirasole's Street. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Base Bid - Retama Street: Approximately 910 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 1 - Carr Street: Approximately 909 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 2 - Rio Street: Approximately 475 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 3 - Grande Street: Approximately 611 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 4 - Guadalupe Circle: Approximately 777 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 5 - Cypress Street: Approximately 349 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 6 - Mirasoles Street: Approximately 1,257 LF of roadway improvements consisting of 1 1/2 -inch HMAC, 8-inch caliche base, and 6-inch subgrade. Additive Alternate No. 7 - Grande Street Drainage: Approximately 5-foot valley gutter (194 L.F.) Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Rio Grande City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
