Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Install 6' perimeter chain-link fencing around playgrounds including man gates and equipment access gates. Question Deadline 10/29/2026 at 3:00 PM MT All project related requests for information, clarifications, and questions must be submitted to DFCM via the U3P website Install standard 6' perimeter chain-link fence around previously installed playgrounds at Roosevelt, Price, Castle Dale, Moab, and Blanding DCFS locations. Each needs one 4' man gate with fork latch and one 6' gate for lawnmower and landscaping access with fork latch (or similar). The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to furnish and install new 6-foot-tall commercial chain -link perimeter fencing around designated small playground areas at five (5) state-owned facility locations in eastern Utah (Price, Castle Dale, Moab, Blanding, and Roosevelt). Because these enclosures surround active child play areas, all fencing materials, top rails, mesh, and hardware must be child-safe-featuring smooth top rails/knuckled selvages with no sharp edges, burrs, or pinch points-- and bottom tensioning installed flush to grade to prevent crawling underneath. Each location requires two points of entry: one (1) 4-foot-wide pedestrian man gate equipped with a lockable fork latch capable of accepting a standard padlock, and one ( 1) 6-foot-wide gate (or double gate) designed for lawnmower and landscaping maintenance access. Installation must accommodate minor sloped terrain where present. Prior to ordering materials or commencing work, the contractor must field verify all site conditions, existing utilities/layout, and exact fence and gate linear footage with designated agency and facility representatives. All fencing materials shall conform to standard commercial/institutional grade construction for chain-link enclosures. The fence fabric shall be 6-foot tall, heavy-duty 9-gauge galvanized steel wire woven into a 2-inch diamond mesh, featuring knuckled top and bottom selvages to eliminate sharp edges for child safety. Structural framework shall consist of schedule 40/industrial galvanized steel pipe, including 2-3/8" O.D. line posts , 2-7/8" O.D. corner and end terminal posts, 2-7/8" to 4" O.D. gate posts (sized appropriately for 4' pedestrian and 6' equipment gate leaf widths), and a continuous 1-5/8" O.D. top rail . All posts must be set in poured concrete footings ( minimum 30-36 inches deep, or below local frost lines). Fittings and hardware-- including commercial hinges, tension bands, post caps, and fork latches accepting padlocks- must be heavy-duty galvanized steel, supplemented by a 7-gauge bottom tension wire installed flush to grade to prevent bottom sagging or gaps. Blanding: approx. 140 LF total -- 4-sided square perimeter. o Moab: approx. 115 LF total -- 2-3-sided perimeter connecting to existing fence. Price: approx. 135 LF total -- 3-sided perimeter connecting to existing fence. Castle Dale: approx. 130 LF total -- 4-sided enclosure. Roosevelt: approx. 85 LF total - 2 straight runs connecting to existing fence. o Total Project Length: approx . 605 LF across all 5 locations.
