Demolition, site work and renovation of an educational facility in Galva, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Provide for removal and replacement of approximately 71,000 square feet of flooring and wall carpet strip in Buildings A, B, and C. Also include replacement of the pneumatic controls in Buildings A, B, and C with DDC controls to be tied into the existing network. Also includes replacement of three grade-mounted HVAC units for Building 1 . The Scope of Work provides for removal and replacement of existing flooring(carpet, quarry tile, VCT, rubber stair treads and rise and wall carpet strip in Buildings A and B, including B-Addition. Building A, sunken (1 foot 4 inch deep) reading area outside Library to require removal of existing flooring, addition of fill material and concrete slab, flush with level 1 floor line, prior to addition of replacement carpet. The project includes replacing the existing pneumatic control systems in Buildings A, B, and C with direct digital controls (DDC), which will be integrated into a new building automation system (BAS). The scope of work consists of a one-to-one replacement of the three existing HVAC units in Building 1 , connecting them to the existing ductwork. Heating, cooling, ventilation, and exhaust calculations will be performed to properly size and select the new equipment and ensure that the existing ductwork can be reused.
