BUILDING CONTRACT PHASE A. Foundation, Building, Electrical, and Bi-fold door material. 3. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS A. The building, bi-fold doors and other individual elements shall be designed to withstand the dead load of the structure and the following live loads: 1. Live load - 20 lbs. per square foot 2. Wind load - 115 miles per hour B. In addition to the above loads the roofing shall be of sufficient strength so that, with the roof purlin or joint spacing used, it will safely carry a concentrated load of two hundred fifty (250) pounds supplied to any one ( 1) square foot area. C. Deflection shall be as specified in applicable design codes. D. The roof for all units shall have a minimum one-twelfth (1/12) pitch, but not greater than three-twelfths (3/12). E. Design shall comply with applicable state and local building code regulations, the 2024 OBC code, and in accordance with AISI and AISC requirements. 4. DRAWINGS A. Fabrication of the hangars shall not start until approved shop drawings are returned to the manufacturer. B. All design drawings shall contain the seal of a Registered Professional Engineer and shall show reactions from dead, live, and wind loadings. Building design drawings shall be provided to the owner.
