The project will convert an inactive rail corridor into a recreation and active transportation facility for walking, bicycling, running, and related uses, connecting neighborhoods, parks, schools, businesses, and community destinations. Bonita Springs voters approved a bond referendum in August 2026 to fund the City's share of corridor acquisition, allowing acquisition, planning, design, permitting, and future construction activities to proceed.
