Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of sidewalk improvements at multiple locations within the City of Newton Wastewater Pollution Control (WPC) Plant. Base bid work includes removal of existing sidewalks, grading and subgrade preparation, installation of new concrete sidewalks with modified subbase, minor valve box adjustments, erosion control, and restoration of disturbed areas. Additional improvements, including the 7-inch concrete driveway at the digester building bypass and other designated improvements, are included as bid alternates and are not part of the base bid unless accepted by the city. All work shall be completed in accordance with the project plans, the 2026 Iowa SUDAS Standard Specifications, City of Newton supplemental specifications, and applicable Iowa DOT standard specifications and details.
