The base bid work for the Lake Louise Road Extension Project located in Sylacauga, AL consists of the grading, drainage, base and paving work for a new 1,350' road extension project. The primary items of work are 2 acres of clearing and grubbing, 1,400 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 950 cubic yards of borrow excavation , 4,400 square yards of crushed aggregate base course, type B, 6” compacted thickness, 350 tons of asphalt wearing surface, 550 tons of asphalt binder, 102' of 18" roadway pipe (class 3 R.C.), 96' of 48" roadway pipe (class 3 R.C.) and miscellaneous erosion control / traffic control items. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required. All questions about meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda emailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Question Deadline 11/02/2026 MBE/DBE participation is encouraged; however, no specific MBE/DBE goals have been established for this project.
