The intent of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to seek statements of qualifications (Responses) from parties (the Respondents) interested in performing Construction of Building upgrade at 1223 Derwent Way. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list Respondents to participate in a Tender or Request for Proposal for the Construction of Building upgrade at 1223 Derwent Way. There are selective repairs and upgrades which are necessary to make the building at 1223 Derwent site suitable for use. They include some improvements in the office building as well as the attached warehouse area. The upgrade covers architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical requirements. 1223 Derwent Way is the site adjacent to the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is owned and will be used by Metro Vancouver. There are selective repairs and upgrades which are necessary to make the building suitable for use. They include some improvements in the office building as well as the attached warehouse area. The upgrade covers architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical requirements: Add 5 new showers at L1 of the office building New demising walls Modification to structural slab New plumbing/HVAC Modification to fire-suppression system New electrical layout Accessibility Interior finishes Remove 2 office windows overlooking warehouse, replace with rated wall assembly to achieve fire-resistance rating.
