Construction and installation of a water meter pit interconnecting the Rural Community Water District and City of Georgetown water systems, including tie-ins to 12-inch and 8-inch water mains to convey up to 1.5 million gallons per day of potable water. Scope of Work Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to construct a water system interconnect between the existing water distribution systems of the two utilities. Installation of water main, including all fittings, valves , restraints, and appurtenances required for a complete and operational system. Connect the proposed water main to the existing distribution systems of both water providers. Install metering and control facilities as shown on the plans and as required by the participating utilities. Provide all pipe restraints, thrust restraint systems, and associated mechanical fittings. Perform all necessary utility coordination and locate existing underground utilities prior to construction. Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, and bacteriological sampling in accordance with applicable utility standards and regulatory requirements. Restore all roadway, pavement, sidewalks, shoulders, drainage features, landscaping, and disturbed areas to equal or better condition than existed prior to construction. Maintain traffic control throughout construction in accordance with approved traffic control plans and applicable roadway agency requirements. Provide record drawings documenting the completed installation. Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and service interruptions with both water providers to minimize impacts to customers. Comply with permit conditions throughout the project.
