The goals for this project are a minimum of 0.64% certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a minimum of 1.64% certified Womens Business Enterprise (WBE) participation. The Project involves installation of (2) buried utility lines beneath the Kennebec River, approximately 900 feet in length each and 16-inches in diameter, construct a temporary access road, a staging zone and other work to support the in-water construction of buried utilities. Only pipeline materials are furnished by the Owner and are currently stored onsite. Some pipeline trenching will occur on the uplands, including slope and site grading. The river bed needs to be restored to similar composition and contouring as documented prior to construction.The Contract Documents, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond (5%) Agreement, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Notice of Award, Notice to Proceed, Change Order, General Conditions.A performance and payment bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder must begin execution of this Contract within 10 days following the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must comply with all Federal Requirements and American Iron and Steel per the CWSRF/DWSRF Supplementary Conditions, including submittal of pre-award certification regarding Lobbying. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the District.
