Renovation of a mixed-use development in Augusta, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

This Solicitation is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for project 402-25-001 Replace Campus Fire Hydrants at Togus VA Medical Center (VAMC), Maine. This contract shall include all materials, labor, and supervision necessary to replace a total of 13 campus fire hydrants. Contractor shall replace same size piping, as determined necessary by the contractor and the COR to be unsuitable for reuse. Contractor will be responsible for painting the hydrants based on their GPM flow IAW NFPA 24. Conduct all work in accordance with the Scope of Work and its attachments. Contractor is asked to provide a full price offer for replacement of 13 fire hydrants and another offer that involves only 11 fire hydrants to be replaces, omitting fire hydrants 14 and 18 from the SOW attachment 3 of this solicitation. The Contractor shall be responsible for field verifying all conditions that may affect the project work prior to submitting quotes for project. Participants are encouraged to attend and meet at the Togus VA Medical Center, Building 202, Parking Lot #3, 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330. Building 202 is of Patriot Drive, it can be found if you orient on the Togus Campus Map. A site visit will be held on February 06, 2025, at 11:00PM EST. POC for this action will be Diane C. Davis at diane.davis2@va.gov. Request for information of a technical nature must be provided in writing and shall be submitted by the prospective offeror only by email to diane.davis2@va.gov. Email subject line must read: 402-25-001 Replace Campus Fire Hydrants Request for Information (RFI). Questions shall be received by February 14, 2025 at 3:30PM EST. Requests for Quote (RFQs) are due by February 24, 2025, at 3:30PM EST and must be submitted only via email to diane.davis2@va.gov. All work shall be performed and executed in accordance with provided SOW and contract documents. The period of performance for the full scope of work is 142 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The period of performance for the full scope minus hydrants 14 and 18 shall be 128 calendar days. AMENDMENT 0001 (2/13/2025) - Provides amendment 0001, updated SOW, brand name justification for hydrants, hydrant locations, RFI responses, and pre-bid walk-through sign-in sheet.
