Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the City of Bangor is soliciting qualifications and a price proposal from qualified firms to provide architectural services for housing. The City is requesting (2) two sets of code-compliant plans for each of the following dwelling types: A. Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). B. 3-Family Housing. C. 4-Family Housing. Additional considerations shall be placed on the creation of a PDF guide outlining the uses of each, with any requirements to include lot sizing, setbacks, etc. A sketch phase will be reviewed by the City staff, the City of Bangor Planning Board, and the Historic Preservation Commission. The final plans shall meet the most recent Building Code and Life Safety Code. Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2023. No Proposer may withdraw their proposal for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening. All proposals shall be subject to acceptance by the City during this period.
