A. The complete Project includes a. The installation of a new valve vault, wet well, and pipe needed to tie into existing force main and existing wet well. The Contractor shall complete all startup and testing protocol. i. Bypass pumping shall be installed from the three manholes which tie into the existing wet well and direct flow to the new wet well. ii. The existing wet well and pumping station shall be repurposed and demolished in accordance with the drawings. The existing wet well will become a sewer manhole directing flow into the new wet well. b. The removal of the existing 6-inch vitrified clay pipe sewer main from Maine State Highway Route 2 in Bethel, Maine starting Spring 2024. c. The installation of a new 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe sewer main and four sewer manholes in Maine State Highway Route 2 in Bethel, Maine. Mill Hill Pump Station and Route 2 Sewer Main Improvements The Project consists of: The installation of a new pump station and associated appurtenances, tie-in to existing force main and reconstruction / demolition of existing pump station. The removal of the existing 6-inch vitrified clay (VC) pipe sewer main and installation of a new 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe sewer main and associated appurtenances on Maine State Highway Route 2 in Bethel, Maine. "Agreement Between Owner and Contractor" as follows: 265 calendar days for substantial completion & 295 calendar days for final completion. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the BidForm. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
