Site work and paving for a civil project in Bridgton, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project involves culvert installations, grass-lined ditching, stone-lined ditching, shoulder grading, full depth pavement reclamation and fine grading, variable depth gravel base, hot mix asphalt pavement, gravel shoulders and other work items on two sections of Webber Pond Road. Section 1 is approximately 3,907 linear feet, and Section 2 is approximately 5,333 linear feet. The Town of Sweden will have thirty (30) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. The work shall be completed by October 15, 2023. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day are contained in the Contract. The Town of Sweden reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget. The Town of Sweden reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Sweden, not necessarily the lowest bid. A bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check, made out to the Town of Sweden. 100% Construction Performance Bond 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond
