The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 24975 .00 Location: In Hancock and Washington Counties, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Ellsworth, Fletchers Landing TWP, Waltham, Mariaville, Osborn, and Aurora on Route 179 beginning at the Compact Urban Line 0.61 miles north of the intersection with Route 1A and extending northerly to the intersection with Route 9. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 2 is in Hancock, Franklin, T9 SD BPP, T10 SD BPP, and Cherryfield on Route 182 beginning at the southwesterly intersection with Route and extending northerly and easterly to the northeasterly intersection with Route 1. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 3 is in Whiting on Route 1 beginning 0.12 miles northeast of the intersection with the Bean Heath Road and extending easterly to 0.08 miles southwest of the intersection with Moose Hollow Lane. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 4 is in Franklin, Eastbrook, and Waltham on Route 200 beginning at the westerly junction of Route 182 and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 179. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 5S is in East Machias and Whiting on Route 1 beginning 0.37 miles southeast of the intersection with the Chases Mill Road and extending southeasterly to 0.02 miles west of the intersection with the Gardner Lake Road. Includes paving shoulders. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.
