Site work for a civil project in Hamlin, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Town of Hamlin, Maine is requesting bids for the Wastewater Pump Station & Force Main Upgrade Project, which includes renewing the wastewater pump station with new pumps, rails, valves, internal piping, floats, new electrical and controls, a new backup generator, and replacing the wet well cover and hatch. The project also includes replacing the force main, approximately 1,000 feet in length. Bids must be submitted according to the requirements outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Contractors must comply with American Iron & Steel provisions, the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, SRF Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Program requirements, and applicable federal regulations, including those relating to the Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Standards, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and EPA regulations. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid is required for bids over $125,000. Payment and Performance Bonds are required at contract signing for bids of $125,000 or more. The project scope may be adjusted to match available funding. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Shipping costs will be $20 per set of bidding documents mailed.
