Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Lakeville, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The work shall consist of the following: removal and disposal of existing crossing and material, removal and disposal of existing pavement and unsuitable subgrade, provide and install new pre-cast box culverts and backfill, provide and install new gravel subbase and base material, provide and install new pavement, provide and install new guardrail system, and provide and install new seed and mulch to areas disturbed during construction. Bidders must include bid security in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid submitted as part of the bid, which may be either a proposal guarantee bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Maine or a certified check drawn upon a Maine bank. Bids submitted without bid security and completed certification forms will not be considered. The contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for one year from the date of substantial completion. The Town of Lakeville, Maine reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid in its best interests. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
