The work for the 2023 CRACK SEALING OF ASPHALT BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT shall consist of, but not be limited to, furnishing and installing (except as noted) all materials labor, and equipment necessary to complete and satisfactorily install crack sealant material on various city streets as outlined in the specifications. Also included, is all other incidental work as necessary to complete the project as outlined or implied in the plans and specifications.The work consists of crack sealing approximately 33,780 (Thirty-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty) L.F. of arterial and collector streets within the City of Lewiston. A list of additional streets totaling over 5,765 (Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-Five) L.F. has been identified for crack sealing, only if there is sufficient funding. All work shall not commence prior to May 15, 2023, and must be completed by September 22, 2023. Questions and Requests for Information shall be submitted to Justin Bisson (jbisson@lewistonmaine.gov) on or before noon, March 16, 2023. Questions and RFIs will be responded to via email to potential bidders on the Plan Holders List and those registered with the City Purchasing Department for this project. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated.
