Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work within Webber Avenue will include the separation of the existing combined system located between Lisbon Street & Fourth Street. In addition, Webber Avenue (from Lisbon Street to Pleasant Street) will receive a finish pave surface, following a 2" mill along the full existing street width. Existing paved sidewalk along the easterly side of Webber will be removed, gravel shimmed, fine-graded, and repaved with 2, 1" lifts of 9.5mm HMA. Existing stumps will be removed prior to sidewalk replacement. The existing paved sidewalk along the westerly side of Webber Avenue will be removed, and replaced with a loamed & seeded esplanade with Cape Cod concrete curbing. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price The City reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder to bring projects down to within budget.
