Renovation of a mixed-use development in Machias, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
Construction is expected to begin in a few weeks. The originial solicitation is included below: The renovation work at Machias Memorial High School Gym to include roof replacement and door replacement at the entry vestibule. Brief Project Description: Remove existing 2 layers of roofing (Onduline on plywood on metal roofing) to original substrate and replace with architectural shingles. Replace entrance doors to the vestibule. Proposals must be accompanied by certified or cashiers check for 5% of the proposal, or a satisfactory bid bond in a similar amount. The owner reserves the right to waive all formalities, and reject any and all proposals, or to accept any proposal. Proposals shall be submitted upon the letterhead of the bidder. Any proposal that contains an escalation clause will be invalid. Owner has the right to accept or reject any bid.
