The Town of Machias is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of the roof on Station 1898, located at 2 Kilton Lane, Machias, ME. Bids must be sealed with "Station 1898 Roof Replacement" on envelope. Proposals shall include: Scope of work, completed in accordance with applicable National Historic Preservation guidelines. Proposed roofing materials. Anticipated lifespan of the completed roof. Total project cost, including labor, materials, equipment, and disposal. Estimated project schedule, including start and completion dates. Warranty information for materials and workmanship. Proof of general liability and workers' compensation insurance (or proof of exemption). All demolition debris shall be disposed of at the Machias Bay Area Transfer Station.
