Renovation of a residential development in Naples, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Strip existing shingles and paper to expose existing roof deck. Provide temporary weather protection as required to keep roof water tight throughout progress of work. Inspect and repair/replace roof deck as necessary Install new aluminum drip edge along all roof edges. Install waterproof membrane with Ice & Water Shield as follows one course (3+/- ) at rake two courses (6±) at eaves three courses (9±) centered in valleys one course at all roof/wall intersections (18 up wall and 18 on deck) Flash all roof penetrations (e.g., chimneys) with waterproof membrane prior to installation of metal flashing. Cover entire roof with 15# felt paper or other approved underlayment compatible with new shingle guarantee. Install new 30- to 50- year warranty organic asphalt or fiberglass roof shingles (black) according to manufacturer's instructions. Shingles must be UL Listed Class A or B materials. Heavier grade, Architectural shingles are strongly recommended. The use of staples to fasten shingles is prohibited. Thoroughly clean site. Properly dispose of all debris. Submit copy of manufacturer's shingle warranty to the Town of Naples. This letter shall serve to solicit a bid for the Repair and Replacement of the roof of the Marine Safety Division Office Building, located at 21 Village Green Lane, Naples, Maine 04055. Bids shall meet the conditions/specifications noted in this document. Each bid must be made upon the form provided. For questions regarding the bid process, please contact Paula Miller at the Naples Town Office (207) 693-6364 Ext. 109. For questions pertaining to the Marine Safety Division Office building located at 21 Village Green Lane, please contact Harbor Master Shawn Hebert (207) 615-8445. Site Inspection Bidders should familiarize themselves with the location and work before submitting. Withdrawn or Revision of Bids A bidder may withdraw or revise a bid after the Town has received it, provided the request is made in writing before the submission deadline. Rejection of Proposals, Waiver of Formailities Be advised, the Town of Naples reserves the right to reject any or all bids in the best interest of the Town without absorbing any liability against the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive any formalities and be the sole judge of whether items proposed are "similar and approved" as equal to those specified as applicable. Work may begin at any time after bid award and all work must be completed by November 1, 2023.
