Site work and paving for a civil project in Northport, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Northport is accepting bids for paving, ditching, culvert replacement, brush cutting, tree removal, and a bridge widening project on various roads in Town. The successful applicant will provide a copy of general liability and worker's compensation insurance prior to beginning work. The Select Board reserves the right to waive formalities, negotiate the cost, modify the scope of work, and/or accept or reject any and all bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town. Scope of Work Extend both sides of existing bridge to add ADA and Maine DOT compliant sidewalks on both sides of the street, and moving guardrails Specifications: 1. Contractor must supply their own safety control, traffic control measures, and proof of worker's compensation and liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000. 2. 3. 4. 5. Contractor must conform with MUTCD. The Contractor is responsible for becoming familiar with the locations and extent of work to be performed. 6.
