Site work and paving for a civil project in Norway, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The project involves the installation of a precast concrete box culvert and retaining walls (supplied by Town), gravel base and subbase, hot mix asphalt paving, steel beam guardrails and other related incidental items at the causeway on Crockett Ridge Road in Norway. The Town of Norway reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget. The Town of Norway reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Norway, not necessarily the lowest bid. The Town of Norway will have one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. The work can begin on or after September 3, 2024. In-water work for the installation of the concrete box culvert must be completed by October 31, 2024. The work shall be completed by November 15, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day are contained in the Contract.
