Renovation of a mixed-use development in Orono, Maine. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of March 8, 2024, bids were over the budget. No definite date for the rebid. Project Summary: Removal of the existing metal flashing and trim, removal of the existing EPDM membrane roof and insulation system. Installation of new vapor barrier, wood blocking, roof insulation, PVC membrane, metal flashing and trim. Electronic bid submission must be accompanied by a copy of a satisfactory Bid Bond for 5% of the Bid (checks will not be accepted) which shall be in conformity with the form of Bond contained in Section 00 43 13 of the Specifications. Upon determination of the apparent low bidder, the University will contact the low bidder and request an original hard copy of the bid bond be delivered within 72 hours. The University reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any or all bids or to accept any bids. Scholarships, donations or gifts to the University will not be considered in the evaluation of responses. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond to cover the execution of the Contract which shall be in conformity with the form of Bonds contained in Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16, respectively, of the Specifications and shall be for the Contract amount.
