The Town of Pittston is seeking proposals for the ground care services for the Pittston Town Office grounds for the 2023 season. The proposal should include spring clean-up (includes removal of lawn debris prior to mowing), replacing and resetting of border stone, mowing of the grass as needed, weed whacking, weeding flower beds, weeding the rock area between the walkway and the building and removal of "roadside debris". At the end of the summer season, the areas are to be raked of any fallen leaves. A Certificate of Liability is required. Also, those who submit a proposal must obtain "Certificates of Workers' Compensation Insurance For Independent Contractors" OR obtain approved "Application(s) for Predetermination of Independent Status to Establish a Rebuttable Presumption" for Independent Contractors. Subcontracting is allowed with Select Board approval. The Select Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
