The Town of Pittston for a pit management plan and the crushing of five thousand (5000) cubic yards in the town-owned gravel pit on Old Cedar Grove Road, Pittston, Maine. The completion date, if contracted, is May 1, 2024. The Contractor will provide a management plan of the pit to be used for the execution of the contract. Additionally, the Contractor will have determined where the material for processing will be extracted. Finally, the Contractor will describe the condition of the pit at the conclusion of the project. The Contractor will crush (process): 2000 cubic yards of type "A" 1.5 inch crushed finished gravel 2000 cubic yards of type "D" gravel 4 inch minus base gravel 1000 cubic yards of faceted riprap, 6 to 12, crushed The pile of each product will be subject to measurement QUESTIONS : Bidders shall direct all questions, including requests for explanations or interpretation, in writing to the Town. All questions must be in writing/facsimile and must be received at least seven (7) business days before bid opening. A question-and-answer sheet will then be provided to all interested proposers who have email addresses on file. Any addendums will be published on the Town's website . Owner Rights: The Town of Pittston reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals, decline to proceed with the selection of any candidates, to request additional qualifications and to make inquiries as may be necessary to verify qualifications. Nothing in this document shall require the Town of Pittston to proceed with any of the identified services stated in this request for proposals. If the Town of Pittston enters a contract for services, the Town shall have the exclusive authority to make decisions regarding any project or work readiness, compliance, and completion.
