Stevens Avenue Storm Drain Improvements- The Stevens Avenue Storm Drain Improvements Project is located at two intersections on Stevens Ave: 1) the intersection with College and Waverly Streets, 2) the intersection with Walton Street and along Walton Street to the intersection with Dingley Court. The work includes the installation of storm drainpipe, catch basin and drain manhole structures, street reconstruction, earthwork, dewatering, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, and associated work as shown on contract drawings and documents. The project includes, but, is not limited to the following items: 1. Installation of approximately 770 linear feet or new storm drain pipe ranging in size from 10 inch to 18 inch, 4 precast concrete catch basins, and 5 precast concrete manholes and all construction activities associated with underground utility work 2. Removal of 1 existing storm drain manhole and removal of storm drain pipe wherever it is present in the trench for the new storm drain. Abandonment with flowable fill of approximately 95 linear feet of existing 8" storm drain, 75 linear feet of existing 10" storm drain, 140 linear feet of existing 12" storm drain, 10 linear feet of existing 16" storm drain, and 10 linear feet of existing 18" storm drain. 3. Surface restoration including trench pavement repairs, repairs to existing sidewalks and vegetated areas, and resetting existing granite curb. 4. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic control. All related site work including trench excavation, ledge excavation, support of excavation, groundwater dewatering, disposal of excess excavated materials, filter fabric, bedding, backfill, compaction, road/drive subbase, paving, curb restoration, sidewalk restoration, loam/seed and landscaping. Est. Cost $439,000 All work must be substantially completed by July 1, 2022 and the entire project ready for owner acceptance by October 15, 2022. The Project has an expected duration of 5 months. *There is no bid bond required for this project.
