**As of February 18, 2022, the project has not been awarded yet. A timeline for award is not yet determined. The project involves the installation of a precast concrete box culvert (supplied by Town), retaining walls, gravel base and subbase, hot mix asphalt paving, steel beam guardrails and other related incidental items on Prospect Avenue in Rumford. The Documents may be examined at the Rumford Town Office and the following locations: Pine Tree Engineering, Inc. 53 Front Street Bath, Maine 04530 All bidders must furnish the following: 1. A completed Bid Form. 2. Experience Record (see Section 2-D) 3. A list of all subcontractors to be utilized on the project. The Town of Rumford will have forty-five (45) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. Work cannot begin until the Rumford Water District completes a water main replacement project, with an anticipated completion of July 2022. In-water work for the installation of the concrete box culvert is allowed to start July 15, 2022 and must be completed by September 30, 2022. The work shall be completed by October 1, 2022. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day are contained in the Contract. The Town of Rumford reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget. The Town of Rumford reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Rumford, not necessarily the lowest bid.
