Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in South Thomaston, Maine. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of 3/24/2023 This project is on hold. Repave to the exterior basketball court located behind the South Thomaston Town Office/Fire Station on Stump Dump Road. The contractor shall 1. Clean and sweep existing court surface. 2. Remove any vegetation and other loose materials from cracks. 3. Install in two pulls 1.5 inch (compacted) fine grade hot mix asphalt overlay to the entire existing court surface. 4. To the extent practical maintain existing surface contours to ensure proper surface drainages. 5. Ensure new seam line is not in the same location as the existing seam line. 6. Apply tack coat to existing pavement surface. 7. Install shim coat and/ or grind high spots if contractor determines that is required to ensure smooth playing surface. 8. Ensure court is dry and that existing court temperature is above 55 degrees Fahrenheit at time of install. 9. Remove and properly dispose of all waste materials. 10. Complete the work by July 15, 2023. Basketball Court Repaving Partially Funded by Federal Land and Water Conservation Grant The Town of South Thomaston reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any requirements in the bid instructions and to negotiate with any bidder
