The plans, specifications and bid forms may be reviewed BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at Standish Town Hall, located at 175 Northeast Rd, Route 35, Standish, Maine. The Moody Road Culvert Replacement project consists of the removal of the existing 36" corrugated metal circular culvert with an adjacent smaller secondary culvert of unknown material. The 36" culvert will be removed and replaced with an open bottom concrete block structure that has an approximately 12' wide opening, 40' long at the base, and +/-4' height above the stream bed. The stream bottom will be re-established with native materials or imported materials that meet the consistency of downstream native materials, as required. The impact area at the brook is expected to be approximately 920 sf. All slopes greater than 2:1 will receive rip-rap. Erosion and sediment control to be in accordance with the State of Maine DEP BMPs. Dewatering of brook flow by pumping will discharge back to the stream through a sediment bag or rip-rap plunge pool, unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. Reconstruction of roadway shall be in conformance with Contract Documents and Maine DOT standard specifications.
