The Town of Turner is now seeking bids for roadside mowing along approximately 120 lane miles. Bids shall be submitted on forms provided by the Town of Turner, which are available at the Town Office during normal business hours. The Town reserves the right to add or delete from the mileage. It is understood that any additional work will be at an additional cost at rates submitted on the bid form. Work will be done on an estimated 119.9 lane miles. Minimum equipment shall be a 6-foot bush hog rotary ditch bank mower, preferably with an extension. Mower will have the capacity to cut small bushes and trees. Each mile of roadside shall be cut a minimum of 6 feet from edge of pavement, (where practical) or a maximum of 8 feet, paying particular attention to intersections. Caution, responsible judgment, and care, shall be used in front of and along residential properties. No cuttings or debris is to be left with in the travel part of the right of way. Work shall be started no earlier than August 2, 2022, and be completed by August 31, 2022. Contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment and maintenance thereof necessary to complete the project. The equipment to be used for this project will be inspected before the award of the bid and may be inspected at any time during the project. The successful bidder shall provide proof of general liability, equipment, and worker's compensation insurance before any work begins, with the Town of Turner listed as "Other Named Insured". Before the Town renders any payment, a completed W-9 form will need to be submitted.
