The project entails the demolition of fencing and four tennis courts; the reconstruction of two tennis courts and six pickleball courts; the installation of perimeter and separator fencing, underdrains, and bituminous sidewalks. The work to be performed under this contract shall have a Substantial completion with Final completion of the acrylic surfacing, posts, and nets The bid proposals shall be submitted on the Contractor Bid Form (Section 00 41 13) provided in the bid documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security made payable to the Town of Wells in an amount of 5% of the Bidder's Bid price and shall be in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety. The Owner reserves the right to waive all formalities and accept or reject any or all bid proposals, as may best serve the interest of the Owner .The selected contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the project price, to cover the execution of the work in conformity with the plans and specifications. The work to be performed under this contract shall have a Substantial completion before October 18, 2024, with Final completion of the acrylic surfacing, posts, and nets, by June 6, 2025, if necessary. Substantial completion is defined in the contract as the completion of the surface paving and the installation of the utilities and fencing. The Notice to Proceed date for this project will be Monday, August 12, 2024.
