As of July 25, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Sealed Bids for repairs to a concrete culvert under Post Road (U.S. Route 1) in Wells, ME, (including joint repairs, spray lining, downstream headwall/wingwall replacement with full depth shoulder reconstruction, traffic control, and site restoration) Time to reach Substantial Completion for the project will be calculated as 45 calendar days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed". It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed will be issued in July 2024. Final Completion must be reached by within 10 calendar days of Substantial Completion. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security made payable to the Town of Wells in an amount of 5% of Bidder's Bid price and shall be in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements included in the General Conditions of the contract. The selected bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the project price. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in any or all proposals, to reject any or all proposals, or accept any proposal submitted for the project, as deemed by the Owner to be in its best interests based upon qualifications, experience, demonstrated ability to perform, cost, and other factors deemed by the Owner to bear on the successful outcome of the Contract.
