Project Overview: The project consists of the installation of a new metal gutter and downspout system to replace the existing gutter and downspout system. The work includes removal of existing gutter and downspouts and installation of new gutters and downspouts as specified. D. Bid Opening: Bids will be opened in public. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 calendar days after receipt of bids. Announcements of bids will be within 7 days of receipt of bids. F. Bid Determination: Bids will be evaluated on the combination of price, schedule, and the qualifications of the submitting firm. The bid that provides the Town the best combination of this criteria will be selected. G. Acceptance of Bids: The Owner reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids or to enter negotiations with any bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any alleged breach of technicality. H. Modifications: The Owner reserves the right to modify the specifications and rebid the project, if necessary, to meet the Owner's budgetary requirements. III. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS A. Project Documents: GUTTERS & DOWNSPOUTS drawing sheet A-102 and specification SECTION 07 71 20 - GUTTERS & DOWNSPOUTS provide requirements for the project; the drawing and specification section are an attachment to the RFP. B. Insurance Requirements: 1. General Liability Insurance - $1,000,000 per occurrence. 2. Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability - In conformance with State law and minimum $500,000 per accident. 3. Automobile Liability - $1,000,000 per accident. C. Bonds: A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price is required. Bond must be executed by a surety company licensed to do business at the location of the project. D. The Contractor shall comply with OSHA regulations. E. The Town shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by any firm responding to this RFP.
