**As of August 28, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Airports Overall DBE Program goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise utilization is 1.99% of the total value of all prime contracts. A bidder that has doubt as to the true meaning of a project requirement may submit to the Owners Engineer a written request for interpretation no later than 5 working days prior to bid opening. This item of work shall consist of, but is not limited to, work and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, material and supplies to and from the project site for work on the project except as provided in the contract as separate pay items. The proposed work includes, Reconstruction of the aircraft parking apron (550' x 150') at the Wiscasset Municipal Airport. Specific items include: reclaiming existing pavement surface; regrading and compaction of base gravels; placement of Hot Mix Asphalt pavement; installation of underdrains; placement of pavement markings; and incidental related work. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the Bid Proposal. The bid security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Maine. Bid security shall be made payable to the Town of Wiscasset. Bids submitted without security will not be considered. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 0.5% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% All requests for information regarding this project shall be made via email to airport.bids@stantec.com. The Town of Wiscasset reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Town. No bidder may withdraw it's bid for a period of 120 days following the bid opening. Bid date description: Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked as: "DO NOT OPEN SEALED BID 2025 Airport Improvements Apron Reconstruction Wiscasset Municipal Airport Wiscasset, Maine AIP Project 3-23-0049-xxx-2025"
