Scope of work includes tuckpointing of masonry at 108 buildings at Blossom Acres. All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee may be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a bid bond secured by a surety company acceptable to the U.S. Government and authorized to do business in the state where the work is to be performed. Performance bond and labor payment bond shall be satisfactory with the Housing Commission and meet the following requirements .performance and payment bond in a penal sum of 100 percent of the contract price; or, as may be required o Contractors and subcontractors will commit themselves to making a good faith effort to meet the 10% goal of employing minorities and 5% goal of employing women Performance bond and labor payment bond shall be satisfactory with the Housing Commission and meet the following requirements: a. Be approved by the U.S. Department of Treasury. b. Be registered and licensed to do business in the State of Michigan. Refer to Specification Section 00450 for specific Section 3 and MBE/WBE Participation requirements The Benton Township Housing Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award the contract to the lowest, responsible and most responsive bidder and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids received. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the Housing Commission The Housing Commission reserves the right to award a contract in the best interest of the Housing Commission.
