Site work, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Silverdale, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
SoW Dry Dock 4 is approximately 153,900 sqft in area, there is an existing curbing around the apron of the dry dock. This project is to demo the existing curbing and install a new curb with removable railing. See Dry Dock 2 for reference of the curbing and railing system. This project will be divided by east side base contract and west side option to the contract, up to center of the head of dock, refer to Part 6, Attachment 1. a. Provide curbs with insert for aluminum socket for the aluminum post. The socket must be 11 ¾” deep into the curbs with an aluminum ring flash to the curb. Add gutters to drain water into the dry dock. b. Install removable aluminum railing around dry dock apron. Railing by the caisson will be fix to the dry dock apron. The fix railing will include toe-boards, since curbing is not present. c. Unique railing that can only fit at that location must have a metal identification plate on the railing part and on the dry dock apron. d. The 36 cleats will be removed, stored, and put back between the new curbing. Cleats cannot be removed during docking/ undocking operation, which may happen during the project. Construction work must be phased to work around vessel maintenance schedule. Question Deadline 04/02/2025
