Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of upgrades to Aeration Basins 1-4 including construction of new cast-in-place concrete baffle walls; concrete repairs; replacement of aeration diffusers, drop legs and air control valves; replacement of wastewater process valves; submersible mixers; construction of a new electrical building; related electrical and controls work; paving and grading; and other related work. A valid Class A California contractor's license is required to bid on the Project. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Nitrogen Removal Phase 1 Improvements Project includes the following work: _ Upgrades to existing Aeration Basins 1 through 4 including construction of new concrete baffle walls, repair of existing concrete and concrete joints, replacement of existing aluminum handrail and aluminum planking, replacement of the aeration diffusers and air drop legs, installation of submersible mixers, replacement of existing spray water piping, replacement of existing valves, and other miscellaneous improvements. _ Construction of a new Aeration Basins Electrical Building to supply power to the new and existing equipment at the aeration basins. _ Electrical and controls work including the installation of power distribution equipment, ductbanks, pullboxes, conduits wire, field devices and instruments and testing and integration of all new and modified equipment. _ Civil work including replacement of existing paving and construction of new paved areas. _ All other work shown and specified within the Contract Documents. SOLE SOURCE EQUIPMENT ITEMS: The OWNER has made a finding in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400 that the following materials, products, things, or services shall be designated by a specific brand or trade name (sole sourced): 1. High-Speed Submersible Mixers - Flygt (Xylem) [Section 11317] 2. Fine Bubble Diffused Aeration Equipment - Sanitaire [Section 11439] 3. Motor Control Centers - Eaton Cutler-Hammer [Section 16100] 4. Variable Frequency Drives - Allen-Bradley [Section 16100] 5. Uninterrupted Power Supplies - APC [Section 17100] 6. Remote I/O Panels-Allen-Bradley ControlLogix [Section 17100] 7. Human-Machine Interface Screen - EX Automation [Section 17100] for the following purpose: 1. In order to match other products in use on a particular public improvement either completed or in the course of construction.
