This project will construct a 51,800 ASF/70,000 GSF multipurpose recreation facility (#504) that will complement the campus' Otter Sports Center. It will provide recreational opportunities in exercise, aquatics, health, wellness, and house fitness entertainment activity. The current sports center is too small and results in scheduling challenges between the academic, athletic, and recreation uses. Anticipated campus growth will provide a sufficient number of students, staff, and faculty supporting a fee-based recreation center facility. Proceeding with this project is dependent upon a viable financial plan and qualification for placement on the Systemwide Revenue Bond Program. This project is currently in the California State University's FY 2022-2026 CIP. Per the owner, as of June 4, 2025, this project is not in the planning or design stage. A timeline for design and construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
