Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a office development; and for the demolition of a office development.

Construction of provincial government building. and may include development of a 45-storey office building. This project will include a 10-metre high mechanical penthouse as well as three levels of underground parking containing 450 spaces. TIMELINE: Demolition of the existing building was completed in 2019. The site was used as a staging area during the reconstruction phases of the Macdonald Block Complex which is followed separately, while the government considers how to maximize the use of the site. As part of this planning, Infrastructure Ontario issued a Request for Proposals for a team to provide Planning, Design and Conformance (PDC) services on January 22, 2020, no award was made. Coverage of this report is discontinued and will be followed at such time as development of the site proceeds. Construction is expected to proceed through 2024 at which time design, tender and construction schedules of this site will be finalized. *The Consultant has completed demolition plans.
