Renovation of a medical facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Emergency Department Renovations. Scope to include: increase of ED footprint by as much as 50% (from 14,000 sq ft up to approximately 20,000 sq ft) while improving the layout and patient flow; waiting room improvements; addition of a full decontamination suite; increase number of patient bays. TIMELINE: The architect has completed a report for the Owner to submit to the Ministry of Health for the Stage 1.2 and 1.3 submission. Tender and construction schedules to be confirmed once Ministry of Health approvals are in place. Further update may be available late 2025. Perkins + Will completed a Preliminary Functional Programming and Conditions Report in 2016. McCallum Sather Architects completed some preliminary design works in 2019 in order to continue the planning process and obtain Ministry of Health funding.
