Site work, renovation and addition to an elderly care / assisted living facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 65,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 64-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Macassa Lodge will expand its existing facility to 290 beds, adding 20 new beds and redeveloping 44 existing ones, with the creation of a new 64 bed B-Wing. This project is a key step in modernizing and expanding long-term care in Hamilton, meeting the growing needs of seniors in the community. The City of Hamilton appreciates the Ministry of Long-Term Care and Ontario Health for their ongoing partnership in bringing this project to completion by 2026. The creation of the B-Wing, a 65,000 sq ft addition designed by Salter Pilon Architects and constructed by Pomerleau Construction Inc. Construction activities began in late 2024 and are now underway, with progress on the B-Wing foundation, structural and building systems.
